As the General manager of a rapidly expanding company, I need an IT support company to solve all my IT issues quickly, efficiently and at a reasonable cost. I can honestly say that the Pyranet team do all of that and more. They go that extra mile and have even worked out of office hours / weekends to make sure we're completely satisfied. Their remote support is superb - tell them the problem, they take over your pc and sort it.

A sad day for meThis weekend saw the end of the summer for me; I admitted defeat and packed away my BBQ. As I visit our clients there’s one topic I can’t fail to have a conversation about. The summer (or lack of) seems to have got everyone talking, headlines like “Wettest Summer since the World Began” and flood warnings in July will secure its place as a memorable summer for all the wrong reasons.
I guess the next question to ask is what will winter bring? I know it’s not something we should be thinking about in September but floods, heavy snow and general diabolical weather could affect your business practices. Make sure you have a weather proof disaster plan in place to ensure smooth running of companies IT.
If you would like to talk to an engineer about getting your own disaster recovery plan in place, give us a call.

Nice to meat youThis weekend, a few friends and I headed out to the local gastro-pub for a nice juicy steak and a few pints. Despite the lack of sun, it is still summer after all. Medium rib-eye is my steak of choice finished off with a creamy stilton sauce. You can imagine my disappointment when told steak was off the menu.
I ordered the trio of sliders (as close to a steak as I could get) and began thinking about the possibilities using IT to create meat and physically ‘printing’ a steak using a 3D printer. Although not mainstream yet, we already have the technology to print physical plastic and metal items such as toys, cutlery and even car parts but how great would it be to actually print food?!
Billionaire investor Peter Thiel has decided to invest in a project to assist with exactly that, a physical juicy vegi-steak that is ‘bio-printed’ using just layers of cells. I know it’s not physical meat but I’d be willing to try it, plus it would make over stocking/under stocking a thing of the past for pubs and restaurants.
