Are you sure you're with the best business broadband provider?

If you don't know then we're here to offer some guidance in choosing the most suitable ISP (Internet service provider) for your business. What some businesses don't realise is that moving broadband providers is actually a simple process and when done properly can be completed without causing any disruption to your business.

Here are the things to consider when choosing a business broadband provider:

  • Support - In our view this is probably the highest concern for a business whether it is a new business or well established. Getting through to somebody quickly who you can talk to in the event of a problem is essential

  • Reliability - Right up there with support. As a business you expect a reliable service so you don't actually have to ring for support often. Unfortunately the best way of finding out about reliable service is by either using it or consulting somebody who is already using the service

  • Speed - We are in an age where we have come to expect everything in an instant. The faster your broadband connection is, the closer you'll get to the "instant" expectation. However there are deeper and more concealed considerations to be made regarding both download & upload speeds. For more info on this take a look at our Broadband FAQ

  • Price - Another priority for businesses is getting the most cost effective service available. Look around the providers to see what deals you can get. As a guide BT charge £29.99 + VAT per month for business broadband on a 12 month contract (at the time of writing).

  • Fortunately Pyranet have partnered with a very reliable business broadband provider who can deliver you the fastest possible speed from just £14.04 + VAT per month.

Not only this but we would be your support team! This means that if you pick up the phone to raise an issue with your broadband you won't need to dial any combination of numbers on the telephone keypad before you speak to someone. And the likelihood is that if you call again you will be able to speak to the same person.

All of our business broadband packages come with a free Static IP address too!
Just to top it all off, there is no minimum term contract as it is a rolling monthly service. This makes it completely risk free. If after moving to us you preferred your previous broadband provider then you can move back at anytime.

    Moving Broadband?
    Our Quick Guide

If you are currently looking to move business broadband providers (ADSL) then you will need to do the following:

  • Speak to your existing provider and ask them for a MAC (Migration Authority Code) code to move your broadband to another provider.

  • Your existing provider should willingly give you a MAC code. You will need to give this to your new provider.

  • Once you have passed this MAC code onto your new provider together with your line number then they should begin the migration.

  • The broadband migration process should take 7 calendar days to complete. There is no reason it should take any longer than this.

  • On the day of activation by the new provider (this information should be given at the time you place the order) you will need to change the user details on your router/modem to the details given to you by your new ISP.

  • Once you have changed your details you should instantly be on your new broadband. There should be no disruption in service
